Local sources from Bamyan province have confirmed that Seyyed Mohammad Hossein, the bodyguard of the former governor of Bamyan during the previous government, was killed in an attack by unknown assailants in Yakawalang district.
These sources said that the attack took place in Sargal village.
While the perpetrators remain unknown, sources suggest personal enmity was a possible motive.
Hossein had served as the guard of Anwar Rahmati, the former governor of Bamyan under the republican government.
The Taliban has not commented on this incident.
