The Afghan Journalists Center says that agents of the so-called Taliban administration in Khost province have arrested the representatives of three local radio stations in this province on charges of “broadcasting music” and “calling women”.
VOFTV: The Afghanistan Journalists Center published a newsletter today (Wednesday, 5th of Thor) saying that Ismail Saadat, reporter of Naz Radio, Vahidullah Masum, reporter of Iqra Radio, and Ehsanullah Tasal, reporter of Voice of the People Radio, on Monday (22april) at around 10:00 am. The so-called Taliban were summoned and arrested in Khost Province. Concerned about the arrest of these media workers, this center has demanded their immediate and unconditional release.
According to the Journalist Center’s newsletter, the administration of the Taliban in this province first invited the managers of these three radio stations under the pretext of participating in a joint meeting. But in the absence of radio managers, three reporters had gone to the meeting on their behalf.
