The UK Ministry of Defence has confirmed that the Special Forces Command has rejected the asylum requests of 2,000 former Afghan army commandos.
These commandos, who served in the elite 333 and 444 units, were trained by the UK and fought alongside British forces in Afghanistan.
According to a BBC report, their asylum requests were referred to the UK Special Forces Command, but all applications were rejected despite valid documentation.
The UK Ministry of Defence previously stated that there was no unified policy to reject these Afghan commandos, yet no evidence has been found of even a single approval. The ministry has refused to clarify whether any request was accepted or not.
