A number of female students say that they have been caught in Forced marriage and mental illness after the closed of girls’ schools In Afghanistan. They consider Cheryl Benard’s statements about The opening of private school in Afghanistan to be false and far from the truth.

Omrah was a seventh grade student when the Taliban returned to power and school were closed. She says that my dreamed of becoming a doctor in the future, but all her dreams were destroyed when the Taliban returned to power.

In an interview with Voice of freedom she said it has heen almost four years since the school was closed to us. I remember very clearly on the last day of school that we were not allowed to enter in our classroom. My classmates and I returned to home with tears in our eyes.

Omrah’s throat tightens as she recalls her school days. She says, that she went to a formal school near her home in Kabul for an hour in a day for six months to get relief from her mental illness, but the Taliban have also closed it down. She says the formal school operated in Kabul for from the eyes of the Taliban.She said two years after our school was closed, I was attending an official course. That educational center was operating in secret.

After a while, the Taliban learned abuot the activities of this educational center and one day they came with several Taliban armed forces and took away our course teacher promise not to do such activities again and later released her.” Omrah is not only female student who has been deprived of education due to the Taliban’s return to power. Fariba is eighteen years old and was an eleventh grade student when the school doors were closed to her after the fall of the republic and the Taliban returned to power.
