The United Nations Security Council has announced the holding of a meeting on Afghanistan.

In the monthly report of this council, it is stated that Roza Atunbayeva, the head of the office of the United Nations Deputy Mission in Afghanistan and a member of the country’s civil society, will speak in this meeting.

According to this report, Martin Griffiths, the deputy secretary general for humanitarian affairs and emergency aid coordinator of this organization, is also supposed to present his report on sending aid to Afghanistan based on Security Council Resolution 2615.

The exact date of this meeting is not known yet.

In a part of this report, it is stated that the draft of sanctions on Al-Qaeda and ISIS network will also be voted on in this meeting.

Meanwhile, the United Nations is going to hold the third Doha conference on Afghanistan by the end of this month (June 30) in Doha, with special representatives of the organization.
